We work with a small number of Associates and Partners who help add to the many layers of Onion HR. They have been hand-picked for their experience, expertise, ethics and principles that reflect our business methodology.

Annalise is a senior HR professional (MCIPD qualified) with a wealth of generalist HR and project management experience, both operational and strategic, gained over 14 years in a variety of industries.

She is passionate about professional and credible HR service delivery, adding value and making a difference to an organisation’s capability. She provides support to businesses through a variety of people management initiatives, development activities, restructuring projects as well as general employment advice, problem management and administration.

Annalise adopts a collaborative approach to working with her clients, taking the time to understand their immediate and longer term challenges, strategy and goals in order to ensure her approach matches theirs.

If you peeled back the layers you would find Annalise originally trained in hospitality management and her love of good food and wine has stayed with her throughout. In her spare time when she is not colouring, sticking and walking the dog with her two young children she is usually found engrossed in a foodie magazine or preparing delicious meals for friends and family.

Annalise Brooks

Laurence is an international HR Director who has more than 30 years experience gained in the consumer goods and financial services sectors. He has held senior roles with a variety of household name companies including Colgate-Palmolive, Chase Manhattan, ABN Amro and HSBC. Working as a coach and consultant since 2012, his areas of expertise include executive assessment, leadership development. talent management and organisational effectiveness. He has worked with clients in sectors ranging from media and publishing through to banking, insurance and professional services.

When you peel back his layers you find that he is curious and inquisitive, and that he is passionately committed to helping leaders and organisations improve commercial performance through developing people. He is an inveterate movie and theatregoer and when not ferrying his kids around at the weekend, he loves to get out into the countryside to walk.

Laurence Moss

Liz has over 18 years Human Resources experience working both strategically and operationally for blue chip companies such as The Tetley Group, Selfridges and British Airports Authority. In 2009 Liz set up her own business – The HR Surgery – which supplies high quality, practical HR support and advice to small and medium sized businesses predominantly in London and Surrey on a very flexible, ad-hoc basis. Current clients include dental practices, insurance companies, retail outlets, investment banks and veterinary practices to name but a few!

If you peel back the layers you will find Liz as a no-nonsense, commercially-minded, tenacious individual, with a great sense of humour thrown in for good measure! She loves keeping fit and addicted to Zumba dance classes!

Liz Boucher

Richard began his career in Heavy Engineering, where he was involved at both an operational and design level, and was Managing Director of his own business, supplying precision press tools and components to the automotive industry, by the time he was 24. His broad range of entrepreneurial skills (particularly around sales and marketing), his ability to think at both a pragmatic detail level as well as at the holistic big picture and his desire to broaden his horizons then took him into the world of Executive Resourcing. He progressed swiftly, eventually becoming Group Sales Director at Alexander Mann, working with organisations such as Mars, Kellogg’s, Guinness, Lever Bros, Pizza Hut and Anglian Water. During the last 16 years he moved to Managing Director roles in two specialist search businesses, which he grew exponentially, developing exemplary high performing teams. During this time, he also orchestrated one MBO and one business sale, prior to setting up his own consultancy business (Carat Associates) specialising innovative resourcing methodology and management consultancy and executive coaching.

Being often described as a positive change agent he admits to getting a real buzz from supporting organisationsand particularly leaders to achieve their visions and goals by thinking holistically. He works equally effectively with an extremely broad client base ranging from major internationals such as ITV to smaller but fast moving business such as Micro Scooters. He is often given feedback by his clients, that he is able to create a space for open thinking, challenge and focussed discussion. Throughout his career Richard has also been involved in leadership and talent development within teams and is a passionate believer that innovation, communication, connection and energy are the cornerstones of any business.
